James Linville
James is a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), specializing in industrial goods and mobility.
Prior to BCG, James spent ten years working in education, which is where he first became involved with Abaarso. He joined as a math teacher in 2014 before eventually becoming Head of School. During his four years leading the school, he oversaw a significant expansion of Abaarso's student body, admissions outreach, international profile and physical plant, as well as helped students earn over $30M in scholarships to top universities and secondary schools worldwide. He then moved to Zimbabwe, where he co-founded USAP Community School in a similar model, serving as its first head and helping students earn over $20M in university scholarships during his three years. His work in education earned him recognition as one of the Global Top 50 teachers of 2019 from the Varkey Foundation.
James holds a BA and MBA from the University of Virginia, and lives in Atlanta with his wife, two sons and two chihuahuas.
